Weekly Gratitude #4

Wow. I can't believe this is already my fourth Weekly Gratitude post! Another whirlwind week and plenty to be thankful for.
  • Home. This past week I have spent a lot more time at home than I usually do and I LOVE IT! I am such a homebody by nature and love to just be comfy in my own space. Don't get me wrong though; I absolutely love socializing and doing things but I've been going non-stop for a while so a week at home was long overdue. I think Coda likes it too because she's been super snuggly all week :)
  • Technology. Not even the "new" kind: TV + Wii + Netflix = AWESOME! Justin is letting me keep his Wii at my apartment so I can use my mom's Netflix account to stream movies instantly. I know this is not new and people have been doing it for a long time but it's new to me and I am thrilled :) This is going to help me accomplish #7 on my list of 101 things in 1001 days (watch all of the movies on the list of "100 Movies to See Before You Die: The All-Time Greats"). This week Justin and I have been able to cross off Duck Soup (1933) and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969). There are 20 other movies on the list that I can stream instantly through the Wii and I can't wait to watch them all! Thanks Justin and Mom!
  • Continuing education. Last week I started an online appraisal class and this week I've signed up for the Appraisal Institute Comprehensive Exam Review course and the Comprehensive Exam! EEK! The review is September 15-17  in Houston and the exam is October 24th and 25th here in San Antonio. If I can pull it all off it will be a huge milestone in my career.
  • Health. My throat has been kinda funky since last Thursday and my voice is struggling to hang in there. Between then and now I've also managed to get Justin sick but I think he's got it worse (sorry!). Nothing terrible, we're going to live, but it makes me really grateful for my usual overall good health.
  • Trees. When your significant other is a horticulturist for the city you get trees "dedicated" to you :) Justin's crew planted Crape Myrtles right across the street from my parking garage at work (downtown) and I have a pretty good idea about which one is "mine" :)
