Last week I was remiss in my "duty" to post a Weekly Gratitude...life happens. This week I will attempt to right my wrong by declaring my (Bi)Weekly Gratitude. So, recently I am most grateful for:
- A good book.Since my last post I have started reading One Day by David Nicholls. I heard about the book after seeing the movie trailer and I have a thing with reading a book before seeing the movie (if I can). I'm barely 100 pages in but the book reads so well! Can't wait to get further into the storyline :)
- Movie making. My brother, Brian, has started filming his first movie! In the past two weeks I was able to be "on set" three times at two separate locations (one of which was my mom's house). Up until seeing the production first hand I was a "naysayer" about the whole thing; however, I had no idea how professional and organized everything was going to be! He's very fortunate to have found some great guys with great experience to help him realize this dream of his.
- Fine dining. Monday night my mom, Justin and I had a very fabulous dinner at Texas de Brazil. Justin practically ate his weight in meat, trying 14 different cuts, and we had a great time watching the aerial wine artist in action! Definitely a fun night out on the town :)
- Family. Last weekend Justin and I went up to Austin to visit my Grandpa. I'm so grateful that his health is stabilizing and he's able to be at home rather than at the rehabilitation center. I'm also very grateful for his neighbor, Mary, who has been helping him for many many years.
- New experiences. I am now an official fantasy football league participant - something I NEVER imagined doing! My office has a league and I figured that I would join in on the camaraderie and the potential of winning $225 (1st place) :) I know close to nothing about how these things work but I'm sure I will learn my fair share of football facts and stats. Supposedly, I have some pretty good players on my team :)
